Middy's Story: From Rescue to Living Her Best Life❤️

Twenty years ago, Middys future was uncertain. Born on a PMU (Pregnant Mare Urine) farm, she was just one of countless mares used in the production of hormone replacement drugs. Like many others in the industry, she was a result of draft and draft cross mares being bred repeatedly for their urine, taken from her mother too soon, and her fate hanging in the balance once she was no longer needed.

But Middys story took a different turn. She was rescued from the PMU industry and given a chance at a life beyond the confines of a production farm. This Belgian-Quarter Horse Draft Cross, once just a number in a system, became a beloved companion, a symbol of resilience, and the heart behind The Love Middy Project.

For the past two decades, Middy has been living her best life surrounded by love, care, and the freedom to just be a horse. She embodies everything that The Love Middy Project stands for: peace, love, and happiness for horses in need.

Her story is a testament to the power of rescue, the kindness of those who step in to help, and the incredible transformation that can happen when a horse is given the chance to thrive. And now, through the Love Middy Project, she's helping other horses find their second chance to one bracelet, one donation, and one act of kindness at a time.
